Unearth A Story: Connect & Collaborate

Join us at the Vermont Department of Libraries to as we gather to view the Collaborative Summer Library Program’s annual virtual Summer Symposium all about the 2026 theme Unearth a Story. We will start the day with a conversation around summer library programming best practices, before tuning into the keynote presentation by author Dan Santat. Between sessions we will share programming ideas, so feel free to bring craft supplies, materials, or other resources to share. Lunch will not be served, so please plan to pack a lunch and a beverage. We do have a water bottle refill station on site.
Learning Outcomes:
- Participants will come away with a clear understanding of the Collaborative Summer Library Program’s resources for Summer of 2026.
- Participants will leave with ideas and resources to support summer programming planning.
- Participants will have the opportunity to network and collaborate with fellow summer library programmers.

Parking: There is free parking on Academy Street around Currier Park. There is paid parking on Washington Street (pay by app).
Directions & Entrance: Enter the building through the ground-level double glass door entrance off the small Washington St. parking lot. If you are mobility-impaired, you are welcome to park in this lot. The doors will be open to the elevator vestibule. Take the elevator to 1A then take a right at the end of the hallway and you will see the large community room on your left.
