Library Trustee Mid-Year Training and Check-In Online
Whether you were just elected March 2025 or are a veteran trustee, perhaps your library is facing new opportunities or challenges that have affected the board. Or maybe there are questions simmering that you’d like clarified or it feels like a good time for a refresher on some timeless topics. This session will touch on budget creation and promotion best practices, onboarding new directors, and responsibilities of trustees and directors and how these essential roles can complement each other. There will be an overview of Department of Libraries resources, including portions of the department’s website and learning management system geared specifically for trustees. We’ll end with Q&A and brainstorming on how trustees throughout the state can stay connected and learn from each other.
